I move out Hollywood moves in....

Just been told Scarlett Yohansson is filming her latest movie in the Street I used to live on in the East End of Glasgow.....
Everyone has gathered round dying to get a glimpse of her but not a sighting of her yet tho although it has been reported that she doesn't mind them being there just as long as "they don't disturb me" oh get her.....

Scarlet filming outside Celtic Park
Where she was seen climbing over parked cars looking for footballers to feast on.
(she plays an Alien you see)
I will keep you posted and let you know whats happening as I plan on taking a wee trip to see whats going on. I just can't believe it's where I grew up nothing exciting ever happened there.

Scarlett Johansson, Under The Skin

According to STV.COM
Scarlett Johansson is venturing to the Highlands to film new movie Under the Skin.
Based on a novel of the same name by Michel Faber, who lives in the Black Isle, the Dutch-born author had apparently insisted that the movie adaption of his book also be set in the Highlands.
Filming is now set to take place on the A82 in Glencoe on Wednesday and Thursday, where the road south of Loch Ba will be closed for 10 minute periods.
A spokeswoman for Transport Scotland said: "Following discussions with the filming company Saltfilm, our operating company Scotland Transerv and the police, we have granted an order giving permission to carry out filming for the film Under the Skin on the A82.
"The Scottish government welcomes the continued interest in Scotland as a filming location and we are confident that any disruption to drivers will be minimal."
Under the Skin tells of an alien who seduces and picks up hitchhikers on the A9 road in the Highlands in order to harvest their body parts.

Glasgow gets Blitzed

Woohoo a new queer night that sounds like it's gonna be good to go to outwith the mainstream of polo/Bennets and up the dodgy end of town in the Flying Duck next door to what used to be the STV television studios they seem to aiming for a mainly student crowd what with them all starting uni at this time which is no bad thing but just hope it also attracts a few of us that remember the music and style first time around. The venue itself is a great location for this type of night as the Flying Duck is unique in the fact that it's not like your average club it has been made to look like someones flat that you have been invited to for a party with free toast thrown in. Details on what to expect and links can be found below.

Blitz is a new queercentric club night hitting Glasgow this October. HOMO HETERO FUN

Welcome to the birth of BLITZ. A queercentric disco of homo hetero fun. Its the mixtape that you always wanted your boyfriend/girlfriend to give you in high school but they never did...because they were a twat. But you had nothing in common so its fine! We're the dumpster baby of Blondie and Boy George, if they had used a turkey baster. We're playing music you can sing to, so for god sake fucking sing like you're on Top of the Pops when it was still culturally relevant. It's all 80's/90's alt pop, some New Romantic, some New Wave, and a bit of indie dance. Kiss someone of the same sex if you want to, you are in uni, it's time!

Just need to figure out an outfit suitable enough I'm thinking double denim early 80s madonna style like she wore back in 82 well before Rihanna did on her recent single cover have you seen it?
But then again I haven't decided as I feel the whole denim thing is getting tired.
If anyone has any ideas or suggestions then please feel free to let me know.

Horsemeat Disco @ Melting pot

Wow what a night the HMD boys had arrived.....

And my god was it hot, sweaty and messy we wouldnt have it any other way...I even got the chance to chat to the guys in betwwen sets which was great as they really are such nice guys and just love what they do...
This having been their second visit to Glasgow in just over a week the previous weekend they had the opportunity to play a set at THE WEE CHILL festival in Queens Park over in the southside of Glasgow which Jim himself described as THEE hottest day in Glasgow .."we played this glashouse we was sooo hot"....

A blistering set was given by the guys to showcase the forth coming second album "Horsemeat Disco 2"
available on Strut Records as download and double cd..
The renowned mix compilation series from Horse Meat Disco continues with 'Horse Meat Disco II' on Strut Records released June 21st ahead of a long, hot year of disco mania. The release happens in various formats with the main being an eleven track mix compilation (including download code for high quality unmixed tracks) of hard to find, underground Horse Meat Disco dancefloor bombs. Look out for the special edition HMV store-only release featuring a double cd (mixed & unmixed) with added download codes for extra unmixed tracks. Whilst being available on download through i-tunes, djs and vinyl enthusiasts can also get the highly-collectible vinyl package as as a double lp (unmixed) also featuring download codes. The Horse Meat Disco boys will be out on an extensive world tour across clubs and festivals in the UK, Europe and the rest of the world in full disco glory to support the release.  (Official Press Release)

My disapointment of the night was the lack of air conditioning in the Admiral it really was just too hot at times..luckily tho you could escape upstairs for a breather....with the melting DJ's providing the sounds

Me with the Horsemeat Disco guys....

 Feelin the heat....
