Lions, Tigers and BEARS oh my.........
The return of BURLY to Glasgow a men only event at Bennets Glasgow's original Gay Super clubis on the 4th of March.
Finally we have someplace to go without the interruption of Fag Hags and there hen nights (Let's go to that gay club it will be a pure laugh attitude).
I'm writing this having never had the opportunity to go when it was at the arches or mercury Lounge (remember That?) but it's one of those infamous club nights that you always heard about from someone you know just purely because of what a great prejudice free night they had with good beats and good company just out to have a good time.
The controversy surrounding it's closure at the arches in my honest opinion was a bit of an over reaction front page news in The Evening Times surely if this was a straight club it wouldn't have caused such a stir..
But hopefully with it's return to Bennets we will be able to enjoy those nights once again....
I will hopefully be adding more to this article as the event draws nearer over the following week so make sure to check back or click on the follow button on the right....

Supermax chic Glasgow Clubbing
For many The Glasgow club scene seemed a little empty with the lose of Utter Gutter, Optimo, Rpz.
The fashion conscious in need of decent music and a good atmosphere had no real place to go but that all seems to have changed with the arrival of Glasgow's Chicest, sexiest, funkiest club night "Supermax" a collaboration between freelance fashion Stylist Lisa Ringrose and DJ Billy Woods (Future Boy).
With Fashion shows via Che Camile, Halloween Balls and hot sweaty and intimate nights at the Brunswick Hotel it's not your ordinary club night they offer something more, constantly evolving challenging perceptions of what people think Glasgow is all about with good quality music, atmosphere and people.
The music ranging from Disco, Funk and classic House as well as there (some might say Risque Flyer's) which recently caused a bit of a stir on Facebook have helped to create Supermax as THEE place to go and be seen within Glasgow's underground Fashion/Music scene.
After a few years at various venues including Che Camile, SWG3 Warehouse they seemed to have settled for the more intimate venue of Basura Blanka the club space beneath The Brunswick Hotel.
Which helps to create that feeling of exclusivity as its' not the biggest of venues and getting there early is the only way to guarantee entry and believe me this is one party you definitely don't want to miss.
I will be posting more on Supermax over the next few days in the run up to This Saturdays NON-STOP CABARET Night..with videos Music and my favourite flyer's as well as a little interview with Billy himself...

Thank you!
Again, to all those fans that have been ever-vigilant in prayers--thank you. I am sure that Andy and his family are very grateful for the constant concern and love!
Remember to preserve the thoughts that will give Andy and his family strength along their difficult journey.
Leave it on the Floor...Paris is Burning AGAIN!!
No this isn't a sequel to Paris is Burning but a modern take on the whole diva Ball phenomenon that has recently had a huge revival thanks largely to Rupaul's Drag Race and various events happening al other the place.
The film is set within the Los Angeles ball culture and tells the story of Brad, our hero, who is thrown out of his dysfunctional home by his mother, Deondra. He steals his mother's car and travels into Los Angeles where, through a chance encounter, Brad, a little like Alice in Wonderland, stumbles into a noisy raucous, chaotic event and meets the ragtag members of the struggling House of Eminence.
Initially only looking for a place to sleep (and perhaps someone to sleep with), Brad ends up engaging with the colorful members of the house led by the indomitable house mother Queef Latina, herself an aging ball-legend and the fierce protectrice of her family. Laughter, tears, sex sirens, and butch queens remarkably, Brad ends up finding an extraordinary home and loving, caring family in this, the strangest of places.

David LaChapelle to Sue Rihanna over S&M Video
David LaChapelle is becoming quite angry that Rihanna plagarized his artwork for her latest music video S&M. LaChapelle, who is mostly known for his cartoonish doll-like portraits of everyone from Lil’ Kim, Amanda Lepore, has filed a lawsuit against the Bajan beauty for swagger-jacking (Copying) approximately eight of his images in the Melina-directed clip.
He says that “the music video is directly derived from and substantially similar to the LaChapelle works,” and that it copied the “composition, total concept, feel, tone, mood, theme, colors, props, settings, decors, wardrobe, and lighting” of some of his work. The lawsuit points to a specific image of Rihanna against a blue background with a piece of candy on her tongue.
Why didn't she just hire LaChapelle to direct the video instead of stealing his entire visuals without credit?
And another thing isn't that rubber dress and hat the same one Lady Gaga wore on the Grammy's?

Lil Kim Black Friday Video
So here it is the new video from Queen B Lil Kim "Black Friday" her diss on Nicky Minaj from her new Mixtape of the same name.
I think she should feel honoured to have someone try to be as good as her instead of the fighting just put out a some new material and show them copycats how it's done.

It gives a nod to Madonna with a hint of Justify my love and Vogue thrown in for good measure and Beth makes it work in the only way she can unlike certain Female artists have tried to do recently....
Click on the link below to watch it then leave your comments telling me what you think....

Download New Moby EP...Be the One..Destroyed Album Cover
Download: Be The One
Moby’s new album, which will feature the 3 songs from the EP Be The One (download link above) , is titled Destroyed and is being described by Moby as “very melodic and atmospheric and electronic” with an overall concept of “broken down melodic electronic music for empty cities at 2 a.m.”
There is also 3 videos for these songs (all shot on little camcorders while travelling) which you can watch by clicking on each one below.
Destroyed Album Cover
I like the album cover it's simple yet creates an atmosphere of emptiness (ambient even) which fits well with the style of music, the new album will be released sometime in mid may and will feature 15 tracks as well as a book of photographs called "Destroyed" which is good cause not a lot of people know that Moby is a talented photographer.

Leighton Meester
A track originally intented for Fergie found it's way to Leighton after producer Clinton Sparks was so impressed by her. It definatley has that signature Fergie style that Lieghton has proven she can pull off just as good if not better have a listen tho tell me what you think..

Style Icon Sam Riley
We had our first glimpse of Sam as Ian Curtis in the Joy Division biopic ‘Control’, and then in the newly released remake of ‘Brighton Rock’,And Also moonlighting as a model for Burberry, the 31 year old is blessed with the striking boyish charm of someone 10 years his junior, and the acting prowess of someone with many years more experience. it was his sharp, effortless style that caught my eye. Sure, he’s starred in some pretty stylish movies, and being adorned head to toe in Burberry helps – but Sam Riley’s got a certain ‘je ne se quois’ that all great style icon’s need. With a cigarette (ala James Dean) hanging out his mouth, coat collars flicked up – could we be witnessing the birth of a new alternative style icon?
