SCIENCE CHANNEL'S BREAKOUT SERIES ODDITIES TAKES VIEWERS SHOPPING AT THE MARKET OF THE MYSTERIOUS AND THE MACABRE
-"Pawn Stars" Meets "The Addams Family" with the Premiere of ODDITIES Season Two on Saturday, April 9 at 10:00 PM ET/PT on Science Channel-
Where can you go when you're in dire need of a used straight jacket? What if you just have to have a two-headed cat or a book bound with human flesh to make your living room complete? There's only one emporium sublimely weird enough to carry these bizarre items and countless more - Obscura Antiques and Oddities in New York's East Village. Science Channel's breakout series, ODDITIES, follows Obscura's proprietors, Mike and Evan, as well as an assortment of hilariously-unique patrons who are even more outlandish than the merchandise. The second season of ODDITIES premieres Saturday, April 9, at 10:00 PM ET/PT.
Obscura is renowned for having some of the rarest and most-eccentric antique pieces found anywhere - from circus sideshow props, to shocking natural anomalies, to oddball items dabbling in the occult. Aficionados of the unusual from throughout the U.S. and beyond know that Obscura is the only place to purchase their next treasure - or sell their own abnormal assets. Mike, Evan and consultant Ryan serve as the ringmasters for this one-of-a-kind experience that's part swap meet and part cult rally.
"At Science Channel, we make it our goal to 'own weird' on television," said Debbie Adler Myers, executive vice president and general manager of Science Channel. "Obscura might be the most fascinatingly bizarre place I have ever been, and ODDITIES takes viewers through the looking glass for an incredibly entertaining look at one of the most unique subcultures anywhere."
The premiere of ODDITIES season two is literally "lights-out," as the store is visited by a circus performer known for his bizarre appetite. Within minutes of entering Obscura, he begins unscrewing and eating the store's lightbulbs. Freakish finds for season two include a shrunken head, the body of a half alligator/half boy, a Tibetan trumpet made of a human femur, and a cow...with two heads, six legs and two tails.
ODDITIES is produced for Science Channel by Leftfield Picture Bernadette McDaid is vice president of production and executive producer for Science Channel. David George, Brent Montgomery and Colby Gaines are executive producers for Leftfield Pictures

New Reality Show On A&E - The Exterminators
A & E adds another reality show to their network with The Exterminators!
A&E's new original real-life series "The Exterminators," premieres Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at 10:30pm ET/PT
We will follow Billy Bretherton and his family who make up Vexcon, one of Louisiana's busiest pest removal companies, as they balance family life with the drama of running a successful business together. The 13-episode half-hour series follows the Vexcon team in their search and rescue efforts to rid clients of their most extreme pest cases, while also taking care to release as many animals as possible back into the wild. The company handles all types of removal and in the swamps of Louisiana that means big business from colonies of ants to giant snakes, Billy and his team have seen it all.
The premiere episode focuses on Goth Bees and Killer Racoons.
Billy faces an angry mother raccoon trying to protect her young from his snare, and then goes on a mission to exterminate a seven-foot-long beehive. But bees aren’t the only thing that are causing a buzz in the Bretherton family. Ricky’s ex-wife, Pam, has returned to work at Vexcon, and that’s rubbing some of the Brethertons the wrong way.
Billy and his family have been in the exterminating business for over 21 years. Billy's mentality is to understand the hierarchy of animals, insects, the magnetic fields, seasons, and the poles in order exterminate properly.
My Opinion: Billy's personality will either make you love him or hate him. His education and philosophy in the field will make you interested and the drama surrounding Billy, his family and the wives will make you keep tuning in.
I remember Billy and his family from one of my favorite shows Dirty Jobs. Vexcon was featured on DJ with Mike Rowe back in 2005. I found them interesting and entertaining and I am happy to see someone picked them up.
Good luck guys but I don't think you are going to need it.

Reality TV at it's finest.
Manhunters take on the worst of the worst. Triple homicide felons to international fugitives can run but they can't hide when the U.S. Marshals Fugutive Task Force are on the case. Mandated by Congress after September 11th, the Task Force is made up of multiple federal, state and local agencies, and has the unique ability to transcend jurisdictions in order to work together, unfettered by local boundaries, towards the common goal of catching the most violent criminals on the run!!
Check out the Synopsis for Episode 1, I know I will be watching.
MANHUNTERS : FUGITIVE TASK FORCE – ‘Third Time’s the Charm’ (# 1)
Fugitive Task Force member and ICE /DRO Supervisor Tommy Kilbride has been in law
enforcement for 20 years. But for Tommy the cat-and-mouse game never gets tired, the
faces just get familiar. One of those familiar faces has been deported from the U.S. twice after serving time in prison for drug trafficking and firearms possession. Tommy, who made both deportation arrests, has just learned that this repeat offender has returned to the U.S. Fugitive Task Force members start looking in Brooklyn but, Tommy interrupts their surveillance with a phone call. Their suspect is not in NYC he’s in Los Angeles. With time ticking away, and information that he might be leaving LA soon, the hunt is on.
