Open Question: Where can I get a life insurance policy for a parent with heart problems?

I know of one coworker who was able to do this but that agent has retired and a church member who did the same but apparently moved to CA when they got the check(s). We lost contact about 2 years ago. We're in Virginia and my mom had a heart attack and is 58, nonsmoker, etc. The problem is that the places I've called don't sell policies for this type of person or don't broker for the companies
